Description:

The Common Educational Proficiency Assessment (CEPA) is a joint venture
between three higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates.
These institutions are supervised by the National Admissions and Placement
Office (NAPO) in the Ministry of Education - Higher Education to deliver
this test throughout the UAE for all 12 year grade students seeking higher
education in the UAE. The ownership of CEPA by the three higher education
institutions and Ministry of Education-Higher Education National Admissions
and Placement Office (NAPO) is registered at the Ministry of Economics.

Supervisor - Common Educational Proficiency Assessment (CEPA)

Role:

The CEPA Supervisor will work under the direction of the Head-CEPA to
support the design, development, delivery, and review of the CEPA tests.
He/She will also play a key role in supporting the design and
implementation of new assessment initiatives undertaken within NAPO and/or
in conjunction with the tertiary institutions. He/she will play a role in
developing quality processes in assessment design, development and
implementation, and will ensure that tests and their application provide
valid and reliable assessment information.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
participate in the establishment and conduct annual operational CEPA
assessments, review annual development of CEPA materials; conduct
appropriate statistical analyses of test data and prepare written reports
on same; provide technological expertise relating to scoring technology;
participate in the maintenance and promotion of links with outside bodies;
contribute to strategic research and development initiatives and promote
CEPA profile in public and academic forums etc.

Requirements:

• Master's degree (or higher) with a major component in language testing,
educational measurement or related field. 
• A Bachelor's degree in Education or other relevant field 
• An EFL teaching qualification 
• Good working knowledge of test analysis statistics and software
(classical analysis, IRT 1,2,3 parameter and MFRM analysis, SPSS) 
• Familiarity with test technology, e.g. online testing, machine scoring
technology etc. 
• Minimum three years tertiary teaching experience in a relevant field 
• Standardized test design experience 
• Experience managing large-scale assessments, designing and managing
educational projects. 
• Superior interpersonal, communication, team-building and leadership
skills, including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross
cultural environment
