Meeting Description

Meeting Clitics will take place during the Linguistic Institute in Barcelona.
All topics on clitics and its acquisition will be considered. 

Authors are invited to send one copy of a one-page abstract in English for
review. Presentations will be 20-minutes long plus 10 minutes for discussion.
Oral presentations will be in English. 

Please submit the abstract as an attachment in one of two formats: Microsoft
Word or RTF (Rich Text Format). In the body of the e-mail message include the
title, language, name, academic affiliation, current address, phone and fax
number, e-mail, and audiovisual requests. 

Indicate whether you want your abstract to be considered for the workshop Facing
Movement or Meeting Clitics, and whether you intend to attend the Linguistic
Institute. Authors may submit up to two abstracts, one individual and one joint. 

Abstracts should be submitted via e-mail to

Deadline for receipt of abstracts: March 1, 2008. 

Acceptance will be notified by April 1, 2008. 

Facing Movement will take place during the Linguistic Institute in Barcelona. 
This Summer School will provide a forum to discuss descriptive and theoretical
approaches to theoretical linguistics and psycholinguistics. The event will
offer a range of credit courses on the model of the Generative Linguistics of

Meeting Description:

The Russian State University for the Humanities plans to hold a young
researchers conference on various issues in syntax.

The conference is not limited to any framework or any particular topic and
encourages participants with different linguistic backgrounds working on
languages of different families to submit abstracts of their work in formal
syntax and typology as well as theoretically and typologically oriented
descriptive works.

Submission guidelines:

An author may submit at most one single and one joint abstract for a 20 minute
presentation (plus 10 minutes for discussion). Abstracts should be at most 2
pages in length (including examples and references), submitted in PDF, RTF or
TXT format, 12-point font, with 2.5 cm margins throughout. Anonymous abstracts
should be emailed to syntax.msk[at]gmail.com. Please include the author('s)
name(s), affiliation(s), contact information and the title of the abstract in
the body of the email.

Notification of acceptance: February 20, 2008
