Description:

There is an open position for a research assistant/associate (50% post, 13
TV-L/2) in English linguistics with special emphasis on Grammatical
Variation and/or Processing Complexity, starting on 01-Nov-2007 or later

Salary: 16900 - 19800 € - per annum (if filled half time)

The ideal candidate will:
- hold a PhD in English linguistics or psycholinguistics
- have good knowledge of variation research and/or processing complexity
- have teaching experience in synchronic and diachronic linguistics at
undergraduate level
- have experience with statistical analysis as well as experimental or
corpus-based methods
- be able to function in a German-speaking working environment

Applicants are expected to:
- further qualify in the areas of grammatical variation and/or processing
complexity
- assist the chair in research, teaching and administration
- take part in research projects
- teach one 2-hour course during the term

Initial contracts will be for three years, extensible for three. For online
