Description:

The Center for Computational Pharmacology at the University of Colorado
Health Sciences Center is seeking a full-time Java developer/tester to work
in its biomedical text mining research group. The position involves working
with a team of researchers and graduate students under the direction of the
Lead Software Engineer in the Biomedical Text Mining Group to test,
document, and aid in the development of innovative language processing
software for analyzing high throughput biological data sources.

Required Qualifications:  
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related
discipline with a minimum of two years of object-oriented programming
experience using Java. Experience in software testing using JUnit is also a
mandatory prerequisite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
are required. The ideal candidate will be capable of working as a member of
a highly interdependent group of researchers.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Knowledge of biology, bioinformatics, linguistics, and text mining.
Experience with the Apache Unstructured Information Management Architecture
(UIMA), JDBC, SQL, XML, Protégé, Apache Ant, and Eclipse.
