Description:

The Department of Computational Linguistics at Saarland University,
Saarbruecken, Germany, invites applications for two research positions
('Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter') in  the area of (computational) lexical
semantics. 

The successful candidates will contribute to ongoing research activities in
the SALSA project (http://www.coli.uni-saarland.de/projects/salsa/), and
should have a university degree in linguistics/computational linguistics or
a related area. Background in lexical semantics and experience with
statistical, data-driven and/or corpus-linguistic methods will be an
advantage. Good team working skills are also desirable. 

Saarbruecken University is one of the leading European research sites in
Computational Linguistics and offers an active, stimulating research
environment. Close cooperations exist with other disciplines (esp. Computer
Science and Artificial Intelligence). The institute offers an international
MSc program, hosts the International Post-Graduate College in Language
Technology and Cognitive Systems, and participates in the Excellence
Cluster Multimodal Computing and Interaction. 

The start date for both positions is as soon as possible. The duration is
two years (extension possible). Salary and social benefits are according to
Germany's public sector TVL E13 scale, currently between 2.900 and 4.210
Euro per month (before taxes), depending on formal qualification and
professional experience. Saarland University aims at
increasing the proportion of women in academic research and teaching, and
