The Ohio State University is pleased to offer weeklong workshops led by OSU
faculty and researchers. The Mini-Institute will take place July 14-18,
2008, immediately following the LSA 2008 Summer Meeting in Columbus, Ohio.
Each workshop will meet on the OSU campus for 1½ hrs each day,
Monday-Friday.  Participants may attend both the Meeting and the
Mini-Institute, or just one event. Note that registration for the
Mini-Institute and the LSA Summer Meeting are independent. 

Workshops being offered:
Quantitative methods for linguistic analysis: Mary Beckman
Corpus-based computational linguistics: Chris Brew & Mike White
ToBI labeling: Julie McGory
Eye tracking methodology: Kiwato Ito & Shari Speer
Methods of analysis in sociophonetic research: Robert Fox, Ewa Jacewicz &
Joseph Salmons

Workshop enrollment fees: $200 total for up to 2 workshops, $300 total for
more than two. Funding support for travel and housing may be available to
student participants.

Enrollment in workshops is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
