The 38th annual meeting of NWAV (New Ways of Analyzing Variation) will be held
at the University of Ottawa on October 22-25, 2009.

Abstract Submission Deadline: May 31, 2009

We invite submissions for 20-minute papers and/or posters in all areas of
linguistic variation and change. Abstracts not exceeding 300 words (excluding
title and references) should be submitted electronically at
(http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/nwav38/ ) no later than Sunday May 31, 2009.
Authors may submit one singly-authored and one jointly-authored abstract, or two
jointly-authored abstracts. Submissions will be reviewed anonymously.

We will also be accepting proposals for a limited number of panel sessions and
workshops. Organizers should submit 500-word abstracts describing the
workshop/panel theme. Panel organizers should also include individual 300-word
abstracts for each participant.
