Le Département de langues, linguistique et traduction sollicite des
candidatures pour un poste de professeure ou professeur en français langue
seconde (grammaire de l'oral) et en didactique du français langue seconde
(acquisition du français langue seconde).

Fonctions:
-  Enseignement au 1er cycle dans les programmes de français langue seconde
et dans les programmes d'enseignement du français langue seconde, notamment
de cours de grammaire de l'oral et de cours de didactique et acquisition
d'une L2;
-  Enseignement aux 2e et 3e cycles dans les programmes de linguistique
(concentration didactique des langues); 
-  Recherche;
-  Encadrement d'étudiantes et d'étudiants de 2e et 3e cycles;
-  Participation au bon fonctionnement des programmes.

Exigences:
-  Doctorat en linguistique ou en didactique des langues avec
spécialisation en didactique et acquisition du français langue seconde; 
-  Recherche en didactique et acquisition des langues secondes; 
-  Publications dans le domaine;
-  Aptitude au travail en équipe;
-  Expérience de l'enseignement du français langue seconde en milieu
universitaire; 
-  Connaissance souhaitée du milieu scolaire (primaire et secondaire);
-  Excellente connaissance du français, équivalente à celle d'un locuteur
natif.

Starting date:  August 1, 2010

The Département de langues, linguistique et traduction at Laval University
invites applicants for a tenure-track position as professor in French as a
Second Language (oral grammar) and in French as a Second Language (FSL)
Teacher Education (second language acquisition).

Duties:
- Teaching in the undergraduate programs of FSL and of FSL Teacher
Education, especially courses in oral grammar and in second language
pedagogy and acquisition;
- Teaching in the graduate programs in Linguistics (second language
teaching option);
-  Research;
-  Supervision of graduate students;
-  Participation in program development.

Requirements:
-  Ph.D in Linguistics or in Second Language Teaching/Applied Linguistics
with a specialization in FSL pedagogy and acquisition;
-  Research in second language pedagogy and acquisition;
-  Relevant publications;
-  Aptitude for team work;
-  Experience in teaching FSL at the university level;
-  Familiarity with public school system (elementary and high school
levels) preferred;
-  Excellent knowledge of French, equivalent to that of a native speaker. 

Salary and working conditions are as determined by the collective agreement
in force.
