Description:

The Hanyang-Oregon Joint TESOL Program, a leading TESOL Program in Korea,
is looking for a full-time faculty member.

Location: Hanyang-Oregon TESOL, Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea

Starting Dates: Preferred July 1, 2010; September 15, 2010 also possible.

Job Position: Full-time Foreign Professor or Instructor (depending on
qualifications) at Hanyang University, and Adjunct Professor of the
University of Oregon. The successful applicant will become part of a small,
collaborative faculty that works together to insure program coherence
across classes and the most effective teaching in each individual class.

Requirements:
-  Native speaker of English or native-like fluency with a Ph.D. degree in
TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field; ABD may apply, and if hired will be
expected to complete the thesis within one year.
-  One who is able to teach at least four of the following courses at a
graduate level:
   A. Second Language Research
   B. Applied Phonetics and Phonology
   C. Second Language Acquisition
   D. Linguistic Principles of English Grammar
   E. Language Teaching Methodologies
-  Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience

Duties: Teach up to 15 hours a week; additional program service as required.

Salary: KRW 42.500,000-43,350,000 (roughly US$ 37,000-38,000) per year
depending on qualifications (severance pay included).

-  Vacation: 7 weeks (49 days) annual vacation plus Korean national holidays
-  A round trip air ticket
-  50/50 cost sharing for health insurance
-  Every second year, reduced teaching load to facilitate research
