Chronos is a series of conferences devoted to current research on the
morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics of markers of tense, aspect,
modality and evidentiality (TAME).

Proposals are invited for half-day panels (3.5 hours) for the Chronos 10
Conference held at Aston University (Birmingham, UK) on April 18-20, 2011.

This conference encourages panel submissions in all Chronos' study areas:
tense, aspect, modality and evidentiality. Panels provide a platform for
presenting research in a less formal and more focused way than in the main
conference. The format of each panel is to be determined by the organizers,
but it is expected that panels will contain time for general discussion and
engagement by all participants - not just those presenting papers. Panels
that foster collaboration, discussion, group problem-solving, and involve
postgraduate students are encouraged.

All presentations will be delivered in French or in English.

Submission Guidelines

- Submissions describing proposed panels should include:
1. The theme and purpose of the panel.
2. Motivation for the panel and appropriateness to Chronos.
3. Planned activities and a tentative schedule of events.
4. Names of potential programme committee members.

- The submission should also include a short biographical sketch for each
organizer, describing relevant qualifications and experience.
- Panel organizers are asked to submit their proposal (max. 1000 words) as
.doc files via the special Chronos 10 EasyAbs submission page, hosted on
the Linguist List server (http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/chronos10-panel).
- Panel committee members will be involved in the selection process of papers.

Important dates
- May 1, 2010: Deadline for Panel Proposals.
- June 15, 2010: Notification of Acceptance.
- From September 16, 2010: Involvement in selection of papers for the panel.
