Meeting Description:

In collaboration with Northumbria University, Newcastle University will host the 7th Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Post Graduate Conference in Linguistics on Monday, 26 March 2012 in the Research Beehive, Newcastle University. 

This one-day conference is designed to give linguistics postgraduates from all research areas an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an informal and intellectually stimulating setting. 

2nd Call for Papers:

We invite Postgraduate students from all research areas in linguistics, theoretical or applied, to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Deadline for submission is 3 January 2012. 

Abstracts (max. 1 A4 page) should be sent to pgconfling at ncl.ac.uk. For information on abstract submission guidelines please check our website:

http://www.ncl.ac.uk/linguistics/postgrad/conference/

Accepted abstracts will be allotted 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion. There will be a dedicated poster session on the day of the conference. Speakers will also be invited to submit their paper for publication in the Newcastle Working Papers in Linguistics.
