Description:

The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics at Newcastle
University, UK wishes to make a fixed term, full-time appointment in the
area of Sociolinguistics from October 1st, 2011 until July 31st, 2012.
Applicants must have a PhD, relevant teaching experience and evidence of
research achievement and potential appropriate to stage of career. We are
interested in candidates who can teach and supervise across the fields of
sociolinguistics, world Englishes and language variation and change at both
undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and who can contribute more broadly
to teaching and administration in the School.
