This position is offered within the 10-year project "Empirical foundations of
linguistics" that started in 2011 as part of the strand "Language resources".

The successful candidate will investigate how the development of language
resources can be speeded up when dealing with a language that is closely
related to another language for which the corresponding resources are
available. The language resources involved include in the first place
morphological resources and POS-annotated corpora, but also syntactic or
semantic lexical resources and others. Dedicated automatic or semi-
automatic techniques will be designed, implemented, then applied and
evaluated on various language pairs.

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in Computational Linguistics
or a related area. Requirements include: (i) a solid theoretical background
and practical experience in quantitative methods in computational
linguistics; skills in machine learning, automatic translation and language
resource development will be particularly appreciated (ii) good programming
skills; and (iii) a strong motivation and proven ability to work and publish
collaboratively

Please send an updated CV (with list of publications), the names and email
