AMLaP is an international conference which has established itself as the premier European venue for interdisciplinary research into how people process language. The aim of the conference is to bring together psychological, computational, and theoretical perspectives on the cognitive mechanisms which underlie any aspect of human language processing. Contributions to AMLaP which explicitly relate empirical and experimental findings and computational mechanisms are especially encouraged.

Call for Papers:

We invite the submission of papers and posters for AMLaP 2012 presenting original theoretical, experimental, and/or computational research on any aspect of human language processing. All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.

Submission deadline: May 15, 2012

Submission Guidelines:

The abstracts should be in English, no longer than 500 words, including title, main text, and references. Authors should not be identified or identifiable from the abstract text, so that reviewing can be double-blind. Please avoid excessive self-citing. The abstract should stress the novelty of the research since reviewers will be asked to consider the originality of the research into account when proposing oral presentations.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically as a PDF using the Easychair website linked above. Please use 11pt size font for the body of the abstract. Abstracts should be composed according to APA style and formatted to fit on a single page (A4 format). We discourage the use of tables and figures. In case the Authors think a figure is necessary a grayscale figure can be added with adequate resolution (300dpi). The abstract with the figure must fit on the single A4 paper.

On the Easychair submission page please add the abstract text without title and authorship information in the Abstract field of the web page and also attach the same text as an A4-formatted single page pdf file. You will be asked if the submission applies to 'paper only', 'paper or poster', 'poster only'.

Notification of acceptance is expected mid-June.
