Meeting Description:

The English Department of the University of Bucharest will hold its 15th Annual Conference from 6-8 June 2013.

ACED is a general linguistics conference aiming at bringing together researchers working in the generative framework. In the fifteen years of its existence, it has developed into the major Eastern-European meeting place for theoretically relevant research on language and languages.

We are proud to announce our (confirmed) invited speakers:

Guiseppe Longobardi - University of Trieste
David Pesetsky - MIT Linguistics & Philosophy
Ur Shlonsky - University of Geneva

Conference Fee:

50 euro (covering lunches and refreshments during the conference, but not evening meals) 

Call for Papers:

Papers are invited in:

General Linguistics
Linguistic Theories
Theoretical Linguistics (syntax, phonology, semantics and the interfaces)
Language Acquisition
Applied Linguistics

Presentations should be in English, and will be allocated 20 minutes each, plus 10 minutes for discussion. Prospective participants are invited to submit anonymous abstracts in both Word and PDF format. The abstract should include the title and three keywords/phrases that best describe the content of the abstract. The title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), surface mail address and email address should be included in the email message. Abstracts should not be longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point type, single line spacing and 2, 5 cm. margins. Talks will be 25 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.

A selection of papers from the conference will be published in Bucharest Working Papers in Linguistics.
