On Monday 1 July 2013, 9 am CEST, registration for the first ever trilogy of
Free Massive Open Online Courses in linguistics started. With these three
courses students can cover some of the central areas of modern linguistics:

- Linguistics 101 - Fundamentals (basically an introduction to linguistics)
- Linguistics 102 - Speech Science (an introduction to phonetics)
- Linguistics 103 - The Nature of Meaning (an overview of semantics and
pragmatics)

Here is the YouTube playlist link for the three MOOCs: http://bit.ly/17y0OPJ
where the details are laid out.

Registration and participation is free, all that is needed is a free account
on the VLC (www.linguistics-online.com ) and a few mouse to register.

And even if students do not want to get any certificate they can still join in
and use the materials ... for free!

The Classes start in Mid-September!

So we invite everyone to register for one or for all three of our MOOCs.
