I am a brazilian professor of EFL at present investigating the following
linguistic phenomenon:

Before sentences in English expressed using the simple future ( future with
‘will’) is possible the following variants of the future tense in Portuguese:
a) Simple Future ; b) Periphrastic Future with IR + Infinitive.

For example:

In English:

Simple Future (Future with ‘WILL’)
[…] we will transform our schools…

(Context)
“For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. … And WE WILL TRANSFORM OUR
SCHOOLS and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.”

In Portuguese:

Simple Future
[...] nós transformaremos nossas escolas...

Periphrastic Future with IRpresent + Infinitive
[...] nós vamos transformar nossas escolas...

Periphrastic Future with IRfuture + Infinitive
[…] nós iremos transformar nossas escolas...

>From the perspective of the cognitive linguistics and towards Gilles
Fauconnier's mental spaces theory: How to represent the different cognitive
configurations reflected in the options of Brazilian translators? Which
semantic and pragmatic aspects may be evolved and influencing in their
options? Which different semantic interpretations may be considered according
to their options?
