English Native Speaker for Language Copy-Editing (M/W)

Copernicus is a publisher of well established international journals with a
focus on geo and environmental sciences. All journals are open access, i.e.,
they are cost-free to readers and costs are instead borne by the authors. It
is therefore Copernicus' aim to provide an excellent publishing service for
these authors. We are presently recruiting full time, permanent staff members
(40 h/week) for the position of: English Native Speaker for Language
Copy-Editing (M/W).

Your Tasks:
- Applying Copernicus' policy of Lite Copy-Editing to our manuscripts
(spelling, grammar, articles/prepositions, punctuation, and word choice
corrections)
- Supporting non English authors from around the world by improving their
manuscripts and thereby achieving higher credibility in the scientific
community

Your Profile:
- You are a native English speaker with a passion for the language
- You have an education in linguistics/philology with a scientific background
- Your strengths include communication and responsibility
- You are proactive, committed, efficient, and thorough
- You are open minded to new technological developments and tools
