Description:

Dankook University is a private university located in Yongin, a suburb of Seoul, South Korea. Dankook University features 20 undergraduate colleges as well as 10 professional graduate schools. This tenure-track position is situated in the Graduate School of TESOL.

Position: 
Seeking two tenure-track assistant professor positions, beginning March 2014, to teach graduate courses in the Dankook University MA TESOL program. Compensation is competitive, based on qualifications, including education and experience. The normal teaching load is 9 units per semester. 

Responsibilities: 
- Teach graduate-level classes in TESOL
- Academically advise and work with graduate students from a variety of language and cultural backgrounds
- Participate in University and departmental service

Requirement Qualifications: 
- Ph.D. in appropriate area (i.e. TESL, TESOL or English with an emphasis in TESL, TESOL)
- Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching and general education
- Minimum of 2 scholarly publications

Qualifications which may be considered an asset:
- Experience teaching graduate TESOL classes
- Experience teaching in an international setting 
- Specialization in Young Learners Language Education or Second Language Assessment
- Fluency in a second language  
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations
