Focus: The course will focus on Collaborative Translation Training. The program curriculum reflects a thorough blend of theory and practice, including workshops on and instruction in the use of proprietary computer-assisted translation tools. Along with a survey of pedagogical principles, the participants will be provided with numerous opportunities to collaboratively develop curricula, syllabi, lesson plans and assessment tools that can be used in actual translation courses in their home teaching environments.

Description:
With new doctoral and master’s degree programs in translation still developing throughout the world, the demand for specific training of translation teachers continues to grow steadily. This compact, four-day course is being offered to meet the needs of university-level translation skills instructors who are interested in cooperative and collaborative models of learning and teaching and who wish to acquire a more solid foundation in innovative pedagogical and didactic theory and skills.
