Meeting Description:

This workshop aims at bringing together researchers interested on ellipsis from different standpoints, frameworks and languages. 

Invited Speakers:

Kyle Johnson (University of Massachusetts at Amherst)
Howard Lasnik (University of Maryland at College Park)
Jason Merchant (University of Chicago)

Call for Papers:

Abstracts are invited for 30-minute presentations (plus 15 minutes for discussion).
 
The language of the workshop is English.
 
Abstracts should be no more than two pages in length (including data, references etc). 12 point-type. All margins should be at least on inch wide (2.5 cm). Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.
 
Abstracts should be submitted in PDF form via EasyAbs.

We would like to invite presentations concerning any topic involving ellipsis, including but not restricted to:

- Ellipsis types (gapping, VP-ellipsis, NP-ellipsis, sluicing, stripping, swiping, spading etc.)
- The acquisition of ellipsis
- The structural representation of ellipsis
- The LF/PF debate (reconstruction or deletion)
- Crosslinguistic comparisons of ellipsis types
- The processing of ellipsis
