Description:

Position Description & Qualifications: The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is seeking an Associate Professor of Language Acquisition, with tenure. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Linguistics with specialization in Language Acquisition, significant preparation in theoretical linguistics, success in research and publication that combines linguistic theory with empirically grounded investigation in acquisition/bilingualism, and promise of significant contribution to the research profile of the UTEP Linguistics Program.  Experimental/quantitative skills are essential.  Proficiency in Spanish or another Romance language is desirable.  The successful candidate will show evidence of scholarly achievement and a commitment to research and teaching. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience.
