Description:

Villanova University’s Department of Romance Languages & Literatures is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure-track position in Spanish applied linguistics at the rank of assistant professor, beginning in August 2014. Ph.D. in hand by date of appointment is required, as well as native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, a strong interest and experience in second-language acquisition and language pedagogy, demonstrated expertise in teaching and in foreign-language teaching methodology, familiarity with relevant technologies, and experience coordinating introductory and intermediate level Spanish language courses. Responsibilities include teaching Spanish language courses at the undergraduate level, as well as coordinating Spanish language courses and supervising Spanish Teaching Assistants. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
