Description:

Saint Michael's College is seeking applications for two (2) non-tenure track, full-time Instructor positions which are renewable on an academic year basis. The ordinary teaching load is twenty-four Teaching Load Credit (TLC) hours per year. Laboratory TLC hours are counted as equal to class TLC hours.

Instructors have the opportunity to teach across all programs (IEP, AEP, MATESL, Diploma, Special Programs). Instructors typically specialize in an area of interest for which they receive release-time hours. Some of these areas currently are: Program Administration (IEP, AEP, Special Programs), CALL and other on-line class development, Curriculum Development, Practicum Coordination. Instructors are considered part of the Faculty Assembly of the College, and thus have voting rights. They are eligible to serve on College committees by appointment, but not by election by the faculty. Instructors are required to attend meetings in the respective programs in which they teach. Opportunities for professional development are available in the department including funding for attending conferences, and workshops within the department and elsewhere at Saint Michael's College.

​Requirements:
- PhD (preferred) or Masters in TESOL, Linguistics, or Applied Linguistics
- Minimum two years experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes
- Experience in communicative language methodology, skills integration, assessment, content-based instruction, and classroom technology
- Proficiency in online TESOL pedagogy, including the ability to develop and deliver distance courses
- Ability to work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team
- Ability to teach a variety of subjects and courses across all ALD programs
- TESOL experience in K-12 settings with young English learners.
