Description:

As part of an exciting growth plan, we wish to appoint a Birmingham Teaching Fellow to work on our Distance Learning MA programmes in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics. In addition to working on these programmes, the Fellow will be responsible for developing and disseminating innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment which positively impact upon student satisfaction, performance and achievement, and influence models of teaching across the University. 

The successful applicant will have a strong interest in English Language Teaching as well as an enthusiasm for and successful involvement in Distance Learning.  He/she will demonstrate an ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes,  and have extensive experience in developing new, effective and impactful approaches to teaching and learning. He/she will be expected to work as a subject mentor able to support those new to teaching.
