Meeting Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Tomas Bata University in Zlín announces its sixth annual conference on Anglophone studies entitled From Theory to Practice. This event offers scholars an opportunity to present the results of their research and discuss newly developed theories as well as their practical applicabilities. 
 
Keynote Speakers:

Martin Reisigl, University of Bern, Switzerland 
Šárka Bubíková, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic 
 
Conference date: 4–5 September 2014.
Early Registration Deadline: 15 May 2014.
Regular Registration Deadline: 30 May 2014.

Fee: 1250 CZK (early), 1500 CZK (regular registration) 

Accommodation:

The organizers can arrange accommodation for conference participants at the dormitories for 250 CZK/night. The price for accommodation is to be paid with the conference fee.

The early registration deadline is May 15, while the regular registration deadline is May 30. The fee covers a copy of the conference proceedings, organizational costs, and refreshments. Call for Papers:
 
We welcome papers from the following fields: 

- Linguistics 
- Literature 
- Cultural studies 

The proceedings will include selected papers from the conference; acceptance of all papers is subject to the editors’ decision based on the reviewers’ comments. The previous four proceedings were accepted into the Thomson Reuters Web of Science (formerly ISI Web of Knowledge) database and this year’s proceedings will likewise be submitted for inclusion.
