Good morning,

My name is Casey Burkholder, and I am the associate editor of the Canadian Journal for New Scholars in Education (CJNSE) / Revue Canadienne des Jeunes Chercheures et Chercheurs en Éducation (RCJCÉ). The CJNSE/RCJCÉ is an open access, non-blind, peer-reviewed journal published by graduate students for the dissemination of works by graduate students at Canadian universities. We are bilingual in keeping with Canada’s two official languages, and we believe in providing a space for students’ voices through scholarly writing and networking. 

We are pleased to announce that the Fall 2015 special issue of the Canadian Journal for New Scholars in Education is now available online: http://cjnse-rcjce.ca/ojs2/index.php/cjnse/issue/view/18. The special issue is  dedicated to issues surrounding language, identity, and diversity in education.  The special issue highlights specific sociolinguistic contributions in both English and French on diverse topics including: an authoethographic inquiry into languaging in Montreal, Chinese-Canadian children's biliteracy practices, and a case study on a language program for new Canadians in Newfoundland.
