Meeting Description:

The University of Alcalá (UAH) and AIETI are pleased to announce the 8th
International Conference of the Iberian Association of Translation and
Interpreting (AIETI8), which will take place from 8 to 10 March 2017 at the
University of Alcalá.

AIETI 8 will take place in the historic centre of the charming medieval city
of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid, Spain), birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes and
classified as World Heritage site by UNESCO, in two historical buildings,
Colegio de Málaga and Colegio S. José de Caracciolos, both founded between
1610 and 1620.

The historical campus is located in the city centre of Alcalá de Henares, only
30 kilometres from Madrid.

On the website (www.aieti8.com), you will find information about our historic
University and the city of Alcalá de Henares, as well as practical information
concerning travelling, accommodation, the programme, social activities and
updates.

Some of our Plenary Speakers are Gloria Corpas, Dilek Dizdar, Maya García de
Vinuesa, Alexandra Krause, Henry Liu and Laurie Swabie.

We would like to encourage you to participate actively, both in the academic
sessions and in the social activities that we will be offering.

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Indiana University and
as such can receive donations through the eLinguistics Foundation,
which is a registered 501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal
Tax number is 45-4211155. These donations can be offset against
your federal and sometimes your state tax return (U.S. tax payers only).
For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact your financial
advisor.

Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that
they will match any gift you make to a non-profit organization.
Normally this entails your contacting your human resources department
and sending us a form that the eLinguistics Foundation fills in and
returns to your employer. This is generally a simple administrative
procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if
your company operates such a program.

Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
