Meeting Description:

2nd International Languages & Emotions Conference is a conference organized by
University of Silesia (Poland), University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland),
NNBproject.eu Research Team, SWPS: University of Social Sciences and
Humanities in Katowice, and the city of Katowice. The main topics of the
conference are: multilingualism, intentional bilingualism (non-native
bilingualism), speech disorders, selective mutism, autism, stuttering, and the
relationships between emotions and languages as well as emotions in languages.

Confirmed Plenary and Guest Speakers:

Maggie Johnson, co-author of the book entitled Selective Mutism Resource
Manual.
Lucy Nathanson, child therapist and founder of www.confidentchildren.co.uk.
Others will be announced shortly!

Conference Venue:

The International Conference Center in Katowice (Poland) - auditorium with
simultaneous translations in Polish, French, and English.

2nd International Languages & Emotions Conference 2017

Organized by: 

University of Silesia (Poland), University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland),
NNBproject.eu Research Team, SWPS: University of Social Sciences and
Humanities in Katowice, and the city of Katowice.

Due Date for Abstracts (presentation or poster): 31 December 2016

The organizers invite established scholars as well as young researchers
working in the field of multilingualism, intentional bilingualism (non-native
bilingualism), speech disorders, selective mutism, autism, stuttering, and the
relationships between emotions and languages as well as emotions in languages
to submit paper proposals.

The main languages of the conference are: Polish, French and English. However,
studies concerning other languages are welcome too.

Main Categories for Paper Proposals:

- Intentional bilingualism (Non-Native Bilingualism),
- Bilingualism and Multilingualism,
- Selective Mutism,
- Autism,
- Stammering,
- Emotional Disorders,
- Emotions in languages,
- Emotions and interpersonal relationships,
- Discourse and emotions,
- Cybermotion: Emotions on-line,
- Interdisciplinary study of emotions: linguistics, psychology, sociology,
philosophy, etc. combined together.

Abstracts (max. 300-350 words) should be sent along with (or) with the

The deadline for submissions is 31 December 2016. The academic committee will
notify you whether your proposal has been accepted by 14 January 2017.

2. Title of the paper.
3. E-mail address of each author.
4. Key words.
