Meeting Description:

The XIIth Nordic Prosody conference will be held at the Norwegian University
of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 10-12 August 2016. The conference will
deal with prosodic phenomena mainly but not exclusively, in Nordic languages
and in languages spoken around the Baltic Sea.

We invite you to submit papers on all aspects of prosodic research concerning
Nordic languages and languages spoken around the Baltic Sea. We welcome papers
on both phonetic and phonological analyses of prosody including (but not
limited to) topics related to the production and perception of prosody, rhythm
and intonation, prosody in speech synthesis and speech recognition, the
semantics and pragmatics of prosody, the acquisition and teaching of prosody
in L1 and L2, and cross-linguistic comparisons of prosody.

Abstracts should be submitted online via the conference website. Oral
presentations are planned to last 20 min with 10min for questions and
discussion. Abstracts should be in .pdf format. Formatting requirements are
specified in the Word document that can be downloaded from the website. It is
easiest to download the template and replace its contents with your own,
keeping all of the formatting in place. All fonts should be embedded. More
detailed information about the formatting requirements will be available on
the conference website.

Abstracts can be submitted electronically after 21 March 2016 via the Linguist
List's Easy Abs facility at http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/NP2016. Please

written by John Doe et al.
