Description:

The institute of Dutch Philology of the University of Münster (Germany) is
searching for a Ph.D- or Habilitation-candidate for a part-time appointment
(75%). The candidate is expected to develop and carry out a research project
in one of the institute’s areas of expertise. These include the acquisition of
sociolinguistic variation in Dutch, the morphology and syntax of non-standard
varieties of Dutch, the structure of linguistic repertoires, and attitudes
towards geographical variation. The position involves a teaching obligation of
3 hours weekly.

Candidates are expected to have a Master's degree (or equivalent) with a focus
on Linguistics, completed by April, 1, 2016. An excellent command of Dutch is
required. A good command of English and experiences with quantitative or
experimental research methods are assets.

The initial period of appointment for the position is two years. Subject to
the progress of the Ph.D. or Habilitation, the appointment can be renewed for
two additional two-year periods. The salary is awarded according to the 13
TV-L tariff (please refer to http://oeffentlicher-dienst.info/tv-l/west/ for
further information).
