Description:

LexisNexis is seeking candidates to work on an advanced analytics team working
on problems involving:

- Machine Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- Deep Learning

The candidate will work within a systems development team responsible for
developing and deploying content enrichment solutions that help us build
“smart content”.

Initiates and executes computational linguistics research and/or development
assignments.  Performs basic CL work requiring application of standard
techniques, procedures and criteria. 

The candidate should have the following capabilities:

- Experience with artificial intelligence, natural language processing,
machine learning and text mining
- Specific experience with openNLP, Stanford NLP, clearNLP or other NLP
toolkits a plus
- Experience with text mining tools
- Resolving named entities to entity authority files
- Testing and test management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with ontologies, entity modeling, and semantic web technologies. 

The successful candidate will work within an agile team working on leading
edge problems within the legal space. 

This will include

- Working with team members across business units, engineering and applied
research to identify goals and expectations for such projects
- Implementing entity and fact extraction and resolution applications
- Text and Discourse Analysis
- Stylometry
- Sentiment Analysis
- Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques
- Developing and applying appropriate evaluation methodologies
- Collaborating with engineering to deploy these applications as components of
larger text processing systems

Applicants should have the following:

- A graduate degree in computational linguistics, computer science or a
related discipline
- Relevant experience  in information extraction and named entity recognition
and resolution

- Government intelligence
