Meeting Description:

This workshop aims to explore (from a generative perspective) different
notions surrounding dative structures, including (i) case alternations, (ii)
ditransitive constructions and double object constructions, (iii) the Dative
Case vs Pre/Postposition alternation, (iv) Applicative heads, (v)
possessor-raising constructions, (vi) quirky subjects.

Call for Papers: 

Abstracts are invited for oral presentations (30 minute presentation, plus 10
minute question period) on any topic (from a formal, generative perspective)
that contributes to improving our understanding of dative structures,
especially on the topics sketched below: 

- Case alternations involving dative case 
- Case vs Pre/Postposition alternations 
- Ditransitive constructions and double object constructions 
- Applicative heads 
- Possessor raising constructions 
- Quirky Subjects 

Submission Guidelines: 

Abstracts should be at most two pages long (A4 paper), including examples and
references, with 1 inch/2.5 cm. margins on all sides and 12 font size. The
abstract should have a title but should not identify the author(s).
Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically only in PDF format to the following
address: dativebarcelona at gmail. com. 

The deadline for submission is October 1, 2016.
