The Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities is seeking applicants
for the role of Lecturer (AC2) in Second Language Acquisition and ELT.

The successful candidate will undertake teaching in the areas of language
acquisition and English language and will contribute to the teaching,
research, enterprise and income generation activities of the Centre of Applied
Research and Outreach in Language Education (CAROLE). 

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area of Second Language
Acquisition. A proven track record of publishing as well as evidence of the
ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential,
covering some (preferably more than one) of the following topics: language
development, second language acquisition, second language teaching, language
and the mind, and research methods. Evidence of the ability to generate
research grant income would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be expected to conduct high profile research and
make a contribution to the next REF submission. He/ She will provide support
in the development and co-ordination of new courses in English Language
Teaching, and will undertake management and administrative duties commensurate
with the role.
