Description:

The Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities is seeking applicants
for the role of Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English to
Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

The successful candidate will undertake teaching in the areas of applied
linguistics and TESOL and will contribute to the teaching, administration,
research, enterprise and income generation activities of the Centre of Applied
Research and Outreach in Language Education (CAROLE). 

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant area of Applied Linguistics and/or
TESOL. A proven track record of publishing as well as evidence of the ability
to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Applied Linguistics and
TESOL within an area of specialism is essential. Evidence of the ability to
generate research grant income is also essential.

The successful applicant will be expected to conduct high profile research and
make a contribution to the next REF submission. He/ She will provide support
in the development and co-ordination of CAROLE, and will undertake management
and administrative duties commensurate with the role. Experience in developing
and delivering teacher training programme in the UK and abroad is essential.
