Meeting Description:

The workshop is designed to be an outgrowth of the NSF grant “The effects of
constituency on the phonology and phonetics of tone” (PI: Elisabeth Selkirk).
The grant has investigated prosodic structure formation and
structure-sensitive sentence phonology and phonetics in four languages:
Northern Bizkaian Basque, Xitsonga, Luganda and Irish.

The program for the first day of the workshop (Friday July 29, 2016) consists
of presentations by the collaborators on the NSF grant  (Lisa Selkirk, Gorka
Elordieta,Seunghun Lee, Emily Elfner) and commentaries on these papers by
invited participants.

On Saturday July 30 and the morning of Sunday July 31, there will be invited
papers by the grant’s expert consultants on the workshop theme, as well as
posters selected on the basis of abstract submissions.


Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for poster presentations on the topic of the workshop:
“The Effects of Constituency on Sentence Phonology”.

Oral presentations at the workshop are by invitation only. We will not be
accepting abstracts for oral presentations.

Important Dates:

- Abstract submission opens on EasyAbs: April 1, 2016
- Abstract submission deadline: May 2, 2016
- Notification of acceptance: May 16, 2016
- Conference: July 29-31, 2016

Abstract Requirements:

Abstracts should be anonymous. They should be one page long with one
additional page for examples, figures and references. Please use default 1
inch (2.54 cm) margins and 12 point Time New Roman font.
