Subject: Chinese ''Kaga'' Dialect: Which Dialect Group?

 
The L1 Chinese component of the LINDSEI corpus of spoken learner English
includes speakers for whom ''Chinese (Kaga)'' is indicated as L1 in the
metadata. We have been unable to find more information about this dialect.
Perhaps ''Kaga'' is just an unusual spelling of a more widely known variety of
Chinese? In addition to general information on this variety, we are
particularly interested in whether it belongs to the Northern or Southern
group of Chinese dialects. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
