Description:

The Program in Applied Linguistics/TESOL in the Department of English at Old
Dominion University invites applications for a tenure-track advanced Assistant
or Associate Professor appointment in linguistics to teach a range of
undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. courses. The program specializes in empirical
and usage-based approaches in the study of language.

Minimum qualifications include Ph.D. in Linguistics or Applied Linguistics by
August 2017. Candidates should be qualified to teach courses in general
linguistics, English grammar, and corpus research in applied areas including
forensic linguistics, classroom applications in language teaching and
learning, and/or discourse analysis. Preferred qualifications include
expertise in technologies for language teaching and learning and the ability
to teach online. Evidence of scholarly productivity and excellent teaching
required.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
