Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Oakland University seeks a qualified
individual at the rank of Lecturer to teach a variety of courses in
Linguistics at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Currently we are
seeking to staff a section of an introduction to language course (The Humanity
of Language) that meets the university’s undergraduate language requirement.
The course is scheduled for the Summer I session ( May 8, 2017 - June 26,
2017). 

Minimum requirements: a M.A. in Linguistics (Ph.D. preferred) and demonstrated
experience in teaching linguistics on the college level. 

Additional teaching opportunities on both the undergraduate and graduate (MA)
levels may materialize in the future as needs require. 

Interested candidates should submit a brief letter of interest and a current
CV to Dr. Michael B. Smith, Department Chair, Department of Linguistic (see
