Target starting date August 16, 2017. Salary is commensurate with
qualifications and experience and NTFU contract guidelines.

An M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language or an equivalent terminal
degree with a TESL focus is required with the completion date not later than
August 1, 2017. Candidates must have significant prior classroom teaching
experience teaching in an ESL/EFL context at the university level.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the following:

- Experience teaching academic research writing at the college level;
- Significant experience related to language teaching with technology;
- Experience leading or mentoring TAs and experience with collaborative
curriculum development;
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development;
- Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching, ideally via course
evaluations.

To apply, create your candidate profile through the University of Illinois
application login page at https://jobs.illinois.edu and submit your
application materials: letter of application, CV, and the names and contact
information for three professional references. Referees will be contacted
electronically within a few days of application submission. Only electronic
applications submitted through https://jobs.illinois.edu will be accepted.

To ensure full consideration, all required applicant materials must be
received no later than June 23, 2017. Letters of reference must be received no
later than July 1, 2017. The department highly recommends that complete
applications be submitted prior to June 23 to ensure that referees have enough
time to submit their letters of recommendation. Applicants may be interviewed
before the closing date; however, no hiring decision will be made until after
that date. The University of Illinois conducts criminal background checks on
all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer.

Illinois is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will
receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color,
national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, status as a

criminal conviction history. Illinois welcomes individuals with diverse
