Description:

The Psycholinguistics Laboratory (Department of Comparative Linguistics) is
looking for a candidate to occupy a postdoctoral position for up to two years
in the field of language acquisition. The appointed individual will be joining
the ACQDIV team (http://www.acqdiv.uzh.ch/en.html) which studies language
acquisition across maximally diverse languages in naturalistic longitudinal
data. The international team is composed of experts on language acquisition,
linguistic typology, computational linguistics, language documentation and
data science, and the group has strong links with other departments ranging
from biology to neuroscience. We are looking for a highly motivated individual
with a strong background in the cognitive sciences and experience with
computational and statistical tools (and a PhD in one of the relevant areas).
Previous experience in language acquisition and comparative linguistics is a
plus. Salary and working conditions are comparable with the most competitive
institutions worldwide. 

The position will start February 1st 2018 for 1 year with a prospect of
extension of another year. Applications should include:
