Meeting Description:

MOTH is an annual linguistics conference that brings together linguists from
eastern Canada who conduct research in syntax and its interfaces.


Call for Papers:

The 2019 Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto-Hamilton Syntax Workshop (MOTH 2019) will be
held at Carleton University on the weekend of April 13-14, 2019.  This year’s
invited speaker will be Lisa Travis from McGill University.  We invite the
submission of abstracts for 20-minute talks on any topic in syntax and its
interfaces. 

Abstracts should be a maximum of one page (references can be on a separate
page), with one-inch margins and 11 point font. 

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is February 10, 2019. Please submit them
as anonymous PDFs via email to daniel.siddiqi at carleton.ca.  The email should
contain ''MOTH 2019 ABSTRACT'' in the subject line with the name and
affiliation of authors and co-authors and the title of the paper in the body
of the email.

Notification of acceptance will be sent by March 3, 2019.

Abstracts and talks may be in either English or French.

Appel à communications :

L'atelier de syntaxe MOTH (Montéal-Ottawa-Toronto-Hamilton) aura lieu à
l'Université Carleton les 13 et 14 avril 2019. Lisa Travis (McGill) y sera la
conférencière invitée. Nous invitons des résumés portant sur tout sujet en
syntaxe et ses interfaces. Les présentations dureront 20 minutes.

Les résumés ne doivent pas dépasser 1 page (plus les références), avec des
marges de 1 pouce et une police de 11pt. 

La date limite de réception des résumés est le 10 février 2019. Veuillez les
soumettre par courriel à Dan Siddiqi (daniel.siddiqi at carleton.ca), avec ''MOTH
2019 ABSTRACT'' sous ''sujet'', et le(s) nom(s) des auteurs et leur(s)
affiliation(s) dans le message. On annoncera les résultats avant le 3 mars
2019.

Les présentations peuvent se donner en anglais ou en français.
