Description:

Sterling medical is currently looking for a speech language therapist (speech
language pathologist) for an exciting overseas opportunity for a military
facility in Okinawa, Japan.

Excellent pay, 4 weeks PTO, and 10 paid federal holidays.

If you have the following qualifications, and experience as an SLP, we offer
full relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Education:
- Have at least a Master’s Degree in the field of speech pathology.
- Have Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) as awarded by the
American Speech/Language and Hearing association (ASHA) or a current license
in speech-language pathology in at least one state or territory in the United
States. License must be unencumbered and renewed annually.

Qualifications:
- Possess the basic knowledge of principles and practices of family-centered
care as it relates to Early Intervention Services, and knowledge of theories
and practices of delivering comprehensive services in the least restrictive
setting.
- Possess a basic knowledge of medical, and social conditions that are
associated with developmental disabilities in young children and how these
conditions may be best remedied.
- Possess a basic knowledge of typical infant/toddler growth and development
and the impact of behavioral, biological, and environmental risks on such
development.
- Have training and certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). 
Contract personnel shall maintain current certification in BCLS while
performing services under this contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Services will be provided to patients 0 to 36 months of age and, upon request
of the MTF clinic supervisor, older patients up to 21, and their families, in
accordance with standards established by Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), applicable MTF standards, and standards of
the American Board applicable to employee’s specialty.  Services provided by
Speech Language Pathologist will include developmental screenings, diagnostic
and treatment services, family training and counseling for children and their
families
