Description:

We invite applications by individuals with a solid background in English
language teacher education (ELT, TESOL, Applied Linguistics) to contribute to
our research and teaching activities and departmental management and
administration processes. 

Duration of employment: 6 year/s
Extent of Employment: 20.0 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective agreement with relevant work
experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description: 
Active participation in research, teaching and administration. This involves:
- Developing and strengthening your independent research profile
- Participation in research projects / research studies
- International publications and presentations
- Responsibility for project applications and the acquisition of third-party
funding
- Preparing / writing a habilitation thesis or producing equivalent research
publications
- Independent teaching of courses ( usually 2 hours per week)
- Supervision of students
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance activities of the
university
- Involvement in the department administration
 -Participation in curricular development within the area of teacher education

Profile:
- PhD/EdD in the area of English Language Education/TESOL/applied linguistics
with relevance to language learning/language teaching research
- Research expertise in English Language Education / TESOL / English Language
Teacher Education
- Teaching experience at secondary and/or tertiary level
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a team

A focus of reserach in one of the following areas is desirable:
- New Media/New Literacies/Teaching with new media in English Language
Teaching /Teacher Education
- Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)
- English Language Teacher Education (English as a Foreign Language)
- Quantitative methods in language-teaching related applied linguistics

We further expect: 
- Publications in high-quality outlets (peer-reviewed according to
subject-specific standards)
- Presentations at international conferences
- Experience of university-level teaching and supervision of students
