Description:

As a member of the SpeechOutput team, you will work as Speech Scientist on
prompt creation for Automotive customer projects. You will deploy your
knowledge of computational linguistics and phonetics to support, facilitate
and validate the results of prompt creation processes for customer projects.
Moreover, your skill set will help you to understand the algorithmic and
acoustic implications of each specific customization decision.

Furthermore, you will work on customization of TTS output according to
customer requirements. You will design and integrate regular expressions for
text transformations, prompt recordings, prompt tunings and transcription
modification into a consistent delivery of the Speech Output Service.
 
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requirements and text specifications for TTS speech output
- Prepare and validate prompt project data
- Organize and supervise prompt creation and auditive QA (speakers, studios,
language experts)
- Train and supervise language experts working on prompt creation on a
phonetic transcription and intonation
level
- Create text transformation rules and dictionaries for TTS to satisfy
customer requirements 
- Integrate custom speech data into project deliveries, QA and validate
results for integrated data
- Analyze issues reported by customers and fix by rules and other
customization mechanisms
- Interact with developers to improve TTS output.
- Give feedback and provide ideas for tools development
- Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and
processes that you are responsible for security

Qualifications:
- Number of Years of Work Experience: No working experience needed, but
adequate education at university is a must. Strong candidates with BSc degree
and minimum 2 years work experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Background in computational linguistics, phonetics or similar, with affinity
to speech technology
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
- Logistics and organizational managing skills

Preferred Skills:
- Skills in German or another European language
- Experience with regular expressions
- Scripting Skills (Python or Perl) 
- Experience with Text To Speech technology
- Experience with perceptual evaluation tests and statistics
- Experience with XML and/or other Markup Languages

Education: BSc or MSc degree in computational linguistics or phonetics or
similar.
