Description:

As a Project Manager for NLG (natural language generation) work, your tasks
will include the following:
- Oversee 25+ international teams working on NLG tasks
- Receive work requests from client teams, provide feedback for developing
projects, and collaboratively negotiate realistic timelines for delivery
- Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and
high-quality delivery for multiple concurrent projects
- Create and maintain progress trackers to keep stakeholders informed
- Develop and maintain documentation for NLG tasks, used by both linguists and
engineers
- Establish and improve processes to streamline the workflow for NLG projects
- Assist promptly in day-to-day maintenance of NLG projects; ensure everything
runs smoothly
- Provide linguistic and technical expertise to answer questions raised by
linguists and engineers
- Handle bug triage, ensuring that issues are routed to the appropriate teams
and fixed in time
- Collaborate with linguists and engineers to propose and pilot experimental
tasks

Required qualifications:
- Fluency in English
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics,
Computer Science, or related disciplines
- At least 1 year of experience in project management
- Ability to work comfortably in a Linux environment and engage with scripts
on a daily basis
- Excellent organizational skills (you should enjoy creating order out of
chaos, improving or establishing processes to streamline work)
- Keen interest in natural language processing, linguistics, and linguistic
resources
- Ability to effectively operate independently with flexibility in a
fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment 
- Good communication skills and cultural sensitivity (you will be working with
linguists and engineers all around the world)

Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency in at least one language besides English
- Ability to create dashboards using SQL queries
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, C++,
Java)

Project duration: 
Up to 12 months (with potential for extension). This is a fixed-term contract,
not a permanent position. The selected candidates are expected to work 40
hours per week. Selected candidates will work onsite from the Zurich office.
