Meeting Description:

The “digital revolution” has a profound impact on our society, affecting both
professional processes and everyday interactions as well as teaching and
learning practices in various contexts. How does applied linguistics respond
to this “revolution”? What role can it play to better understand the social
and educational dimensions of this digital transformation? What new areas of
study will emerge? And what new research methods will develop?

This conference will explore the challenges and opportunities of
digitalization for linguistics along three themes:

- new technologies and communication;
- learning, teaching, and digital tools;
- the methodological and analytical possibilities of digitalization.

Call for Papers:

Individual Paper Submissions:

Paper presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for
discussion.

Paper presentations should cover one of the following themes:

- new technologies and communication;
- learning, teaching, and digital tools;
- the methodological and analytical possibilities of digitalization.

Deadline for submission of proposals: June 15, 2019.

Participants are invited to upload an abstract of maximum 3000 characters
(with spaces) including a bibliography if needed, which should not exceed four
references. Please send fully anonymized proposals.

You will also need the following elements to complete the submission protocol
on ConfTool:

- identity of author(s)
- title of paper
- abstract of maximum 3000 characters
- main theme covered by the contribution, chosen from the three themes above
- three keywords

Languages of the Conference:
Accepted languages will be French, German, Italian, and English.
