Description:

The School of Commerce of Waseda University is seeking qualified applicants
for a full-time, tenured teaching position in English as a Foreign Language.
Waseda University is a leading institution of higher learning located in
Tokyo, Japan. For more information about Waseda University, see

The successful candidate is expected to commence his / her duties on April 1,
2020 or September 1, 2020. 

Overview of work responsibilities:
The incumbent will teach courses and seminars related to the field of this
faculty search; conduct relevant research; participate in faculty meetings and
University-wide committees; perform tasks related to entrance examinations and
engage in other activities as assigned or as stipulated in the University
regulations.

Required qualifications:

Academic qualifications: 
- PhD required in applied linguistics, linguistics, TEFL/TESOL, English areas
studies, communication theory, or a related discipline.

Teaching experience:
- Must have at least three years of full-time teaching experience at the
tertiary level.

Research achievements:
- Research should include three publications in English in peer-reviewed
journals and/or in                 equivalent publications or books.

In addition, applicants whose native language is not Japanese must have a
sufficient command of Japanese language to execute their professional duties.
