Meeting Description:

The 2019 Northwest Phon{etics;ology} conference (NowPhon) will be held on
September 21-22 at the University of Calgary. NowPhon is a student-friendly
conference that is designed to provide a venue for phonetics and phonology
researchers in the Pacific Northwest region to showcase their research.
Researchers from other geographical areas in the phonetics/phonology community
are also welcome and encouraged to attend.


Call for Papers:

Abstracts are due by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific time) on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Abstracts should be no more than 1 page in 12 pt. font with 1-inch margins,
with an optional second page for references. All abstract submissions should
be anonymized; please do not include your name, affiliation, or any personally
identifying information on the abstract. Submissions should be in .pdf format;
please ensure that all phonetic fonts are embedded (if relevant).

We will attempt to provide everyone with their preferred presentation format,
but please note that the number of oral presentation slots will be limited.

Notification of acceptances will be issued on June 21, 2019.
