Description:

Our Natural Language Understanding (NLU) department is currently looking for
computational linguists (or computer-savvy linguists) as freelancers who could
help localize our NLU software into any of the following languages:

- Arabic, ideally Saudi/Peninsular Arabic
- British English
- Canadian French
- Czech
- Danish
- European Portuguese
- Italian
- Norwegian
- Polish
- Russian
- Sichuanese Mandarin
- Swedish
- Taiwanese Mandarin
- Thai
- Turkish
- Ugandan English

Candidates should be available for 20-40 hours per week, ideally during
European business hours. The initial contract duration will be 3 months, but a
somewhat longer availability is desirable as extensions are possible and in
some cases even likely.

The job will consist of annotating data in the respective language as well as
of developing grammars for the supported domains. Our Machine-Learning-based
NLU system is integrated into products used by millions of people all over the
world 

Requirements: 
- Bachelor or Master in Computational Linguistics or Linguistics 
- (Near-)native speaker of the respective language 
- Sound knowledge of regular expressions
- Sound communication skills in English (written and oral)
- Programming skills in a language such as Python or Perl is a plus
- Familiarity with version-control software (p4, git, svn) is a plus
